Our IT team plays a critical role in helping the organisation to build a better world through financial inclusion and is currently driving a business transformation that’s impacting nine international markets and helping improve the lives of nearly two million customers.
Our strategy is to create a world-class, technology-enabled global financial organisation. Our investments in digital are allowing us to improve the experience of our customers when they interact with us. The collaboration between our IT function, external partners and CSC, is ensuring we move to next generation technology, and provide a single digital offering for customers, making it easier to launch new products and improving our time to market.
Our IT team is Agile and isn't filled with bureaucracy. We’re not for you if you need the comfort of a multi-layered, heavily hierarchical team where everyone’s expected to know their place. There are five major areas within our IT function (serving every country within the IPF Digital):
Change Management
This team is responsible for embracing change, whether it's introducing a new product by embarking on a large project, implementing a new feature, making minor adjustments to existing processes, or improving ways of working, up to a company-wide paradigm shift.
Our role is to ensure that changes are supported by data and feedback from our people, customers, and stakeholders, executed effectively, and bring real value to the company.
Typical roles: Project Managers, Business Analysts, Scrum Masters.
Architecture
Aligning business needs with the appropriate technology solutions to help bridge the gap between business strategy and technology solutions is the aim of this team.
Implementing governance processes as defined, designing decisions and collaboration processes across all architecture teams.
Typical role: Solution Architects, QA Architects, Salesforce Architects, Integration Architects.
Cloud Services
This team’s goal is to excel in our cloud-based infrastructure to enable our digital business and balance this seamlessly with supporting the day-to-day steady state of ongoing cloud environment enhancements.
Meeting business needs and ensuring cost and quality effectiveness are both vital, as is the determination to protect the business from internal and external threats through the deployment of proven information security solutions driven by the latest trends.
Typical roles: AWS Engineers, Cloud Engineers. AWS Architects.
Operations
This team makes sure things run smoothly for everyone else - from end users having working laptops, through the support of our banking and lending platforms and databases so that we can provide top tier service to our customers, to ensuring everyone, both employees and customers alike, are safe and adhering to security standards.
Typical roles: Application Support Specialists, Service Desk Engineers, Cyber Security Experts, Database Administrators.
Recent transformations in IT:

Launched in Latvia, Estonia and Lithuania, this App puts our leading digital brand, Creditea, in the pockets of our customers. Literary. Customers can access and manage their accounts 24/7 and are able to order physical and virtual cards, which can be used either with their own money, either with our revolving Credit Products.

The team successfully launched the integration of our digital and Customer Representative channels on the same system in Poland. Using this system, customers who come to us via digital routes can be serviced by Customer Representatives and vice-versa. Such hybrid solutions are proven to increase approval rates and conversions, and provide a much better experience for consumers who apply to us for a loan.
