DevOps Engineer
In a nutshell
The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for the supporting of development, implementation, and management of our DevOps infrastructure and processes and for releasing new product versions. You’ll work closely with various stakeholders to understand their needs for deployment automation. Given that understanding, you will propose and if confirmed with senior DevOps engineers you will make recommendations and provide self-service offerings that enable stakeholders to deploy, monitor, on maintain their services.
Your daily tasks:
- Work with the DevOps team for the development and implementation of DevOps strategies, processes, and best practices
- Manage and maintain the build and deployment pipelines
- Contribute to the administration of Docker containers and Kubernetes clusters
- Manage vulnerability detection, scanning processes, and remediation strategies
- Develop and maintain scripts for automation, testing, and deployment
- Monitor and optimize the performance of the DevOps infrastructure
- Support in implementing testing and production environments
- Oversee patch management for Linux-based systems
- Ensuring critical system security through the use of best practices defined by the DevOps team
- Support system troubleshooting and problem-solving across platform and application domains
- Support development teams to integrate their applications into the production AWS environment
- Technical communication with internal technical teams and external partners
So, what skills, knowledge and experience do you have?
Skills
- Developing CI/CD implementations
- Docker
- Linux administration
- Python/Bash scripting
- AWS services
- Kubernetes container orchestration
- Git version control
Knowledge
- Basic knowledge of AWS services, including EC2, RDS, S3, IAM (required)
- Basic application knowledge: Confluence, JIRA, Git/Bitbucket, Jenkins, TeamCity (required)
- Fundamental knowledge of Linux systems, particularly Debian-based distributions (required)
- Basic knowledge of Linux Systems, mainly Debian-based ones (asset)
- Working on cloud environments that have been created by code (asset)
- Basic knowledge about docker and Kubernetes (big asset)
Experience
- Overall 3+ years of experience on IT
- Minimum 1 year of experience at DevOps
Qualifications
- We care about who you are as a person, and having a qualification in computer science would definitely help you in this role.
- Fluent in verbal and written English (essential)
- Able to travel internationally for business meetings as required
