Chief Accountant
About Team
Join a collaborative international Finance team that plays a critical role in supporting IPF Digital's growth across multiple markets.
Work closely with local, regional and Group Finance colleagues to ensure strong financial governance, continuous improvement and operational excellence.
This role is based in Riga, Latvia, with responsibility for initiatives across all IPF Digital operations and markets.
Here’s how you’ll put your skills into action:
Financial Control: Take ownership of the financial control environment in Latvia, ensuring robust accounting practices, strong governance and full compliance with local regulations and Group standards. Your work will provide trusted financial information that supports confident business decisions.
Financial Reporting: Deliver accurate statutory financial statements, management reporting and month-end close activities, ensuring financial results are complete, transparent and delivered on time.
Compliance and Risk Management: Maintain compliance with Latvian accounting, tax and regulatory requirements while strengthening internal controls, supporting audits and proactively identifying opportunities to improve financial processes.
Process Improvement: Drive continuous improvements across finance systems, automation initiatives and accounting processes, helping create a more efficient, scalable and resilient finance function.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Build trusted relationships with auditors, regulators, external advisors and colleagues across the Baltics and Group Finance, ensuring consistent standards and effective delivery across all finance activities.
Knowledge Sharing and Professional Leadership: Act as the local accounting expert, providing guidance to colleagues, sharing best practices and helping develop consistent finance capabilities across the Baltic region.
Communication and language skills: Communicate confidently and clearly in both Latvian and English, adapting your language and style to suit diverse audiences. You'll facilitate collaboration across international teams, ensuring shared understanding and smooth delivery across markets.
We also know that experience counts – and we believe that the following can support your success:
Significant experience managing the full accounting cycle, including statutory reporting, financial control and audit activities within a regulated environment.
Strong knowledge of Latvian accounting standards, tax legislation and IFRS, combined with experience working in international or matrix organisations.
Experience improving finance processes, implementing controls or finance systems, with the confidence to work independently in a lean, hands-on environment.
What we can offer you:
A competitive salary of €4,000–€4,300 gross per month, depending on your skills and experience.
Hybrid working with flexibility to balance office and home working, alongside flexible working hours that support your work-life balance.
Employer-funded health insurance after successfully completing your probation period.
Sports compensation after your probation period to support your wellbeing.
A modern, comfortable office with great coffee, fresh fruit and snacks available every day.
Free parking conveniently located next to the office.
