In a nutshell
To lead of a global IT Operations strategy, assembling and running a full IT operation to support the current requirements of the Digital business but also to enable the future growth plans to be met and exceeded. To lead global IT Operations team, working on the basis of a partner outsourced infrastructure support model,
This role will be based in Estonia or Finland but with responsibility for IT services across all Digital operations and markets.
Your daily tasks:
- To lead the IT Operations team globally across all markets to enable the digital business to rollout across multiple markets, balancing this seamlessly with supporting the day to day steady state in the launched markets
- To lead Service Desk team and make sure that our employees and co-workers have all needed IT equipment in place to ensure there is a seamless provision of service for IPF Digital users.
- To lead banking & lending platform support team in line with challenging business timelines
- To develop and enhance current IT processes to ensure our IT infrastructure can support our growth ambitions
- To execute against the agreed Infrastructure design for IPF Digital – building, monitor and manage a defined set of SLAs’ for key metrics, such as availability / uptime and incident management for key systems and platforms
- To provide global and local supplier management leadership, covering a diverse range of services, , telephony, , IT infrastructure partners as well as varied internal stakeholders across the IPF community to ensure seamless service provisioning.
- To develop the strategy and to agree business priorities for IT investment and the formal initiation of projects with appropriate business sponsorship and governance within IT Services for IPF Digital
- To lead a full IT Operations team, this includes recruitment, training and on-going development of your team to ensure optimum performance
- To act as a key member of the IT leadership team of the digital business
- To put customer experience and innovation at the heart of our business processes – have this in mind when approaching all IT activity
- To maintain and demand high levels of customer service from yourself, your suppliers, outsource partners and in the IT processes you create
- To create a culture and climate of courage and entrepreneurial spirit

- To look for economies of scale and opportunities to reduce waste, whilst not impacting the customer experience

Skills
- Fluent in verbal and written business English
- Skilled in troubleshooting complex technical issues and implementing effective solutions to enhance operational efficiency
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams to achieve strategic objectives and deliver high-quality IT services
- Skilled in project planning, resource allocation, risk management, and stakeholder communication to ensure project success and alignment with organizational goals.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to develop and implement IT strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Capable of assessing current IT infrastructure, identifying areas for improvement, and recommending innovative solutions to drive business growth and competitive advantage.
- Committed to staying abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in IT management. Proactive in identifying opportunities for process improvement, automation, and innovation to drive operational excellence and enhance
- Strong project management skills in executing infrastructure designs, including building, monitoring, and managing SLAs for key metrics such as availability, uptime, and incident management. Ability to ensure adherence to agreed service levels and performance standards.
- Highly self-motivated with a ‘can-do’ attitude
- Flexible – happy to roll your sleeves up when needed
- Ability to manage remotely and lead a team virtually where required Business minded with a service operations and improvement mind-set
- Ability to balance local and global requirements (working as part of a matrix environment)
Knowledge
- Proficient in a wide range of IT systems, including network administration, enterprise software solutions.
- Deep understanding of IT governance, compliance standards, incident management.
- Strong understanding of how to manage major outsource teams and the associated risks whilst operating in a matrix environment.
Experience
- Proven track record in successfully managing IT projects from inception to completion, adhering to budgetary constraints and timeline requirements.
- Experience in creating IT investment strategies and prioritizing business initiatives with appropriate sponsorship and governance.
- Demonstrated ability to manage IT systems budget effectively, treating the business as one's own and seeking opportunities for cost optimization without compromising customer experience.
- Proven ability to influence business strategy through delivering significant technology initiatives
- Significant expertise in IT infrastructure and technologies
- Breadth of experience across IT gained within a digital financial services environment (desirable)
- Exposure to working in an international business that works cross-culturally
Qualifications
- We care about who you are as a person and having a qualification in online IT and/or Project management (Agile would be preferable)
- Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in IT management roles, preferably on a similar position.
- Demonstrated success in leading IT teams, managing IT projects, and implementing technology solutions to support business objectives.
