The role
To manage the day-to-day financial operations of the IPF Digital business in Australia. You will take responsibility for all Australia based accounting, control, regulatory reporting, cash management, purchasing, invoices, payments and related analysis within Australia.

Responsibilities
Here’s an example of your day to day:
- Take accountability for the purchase invoice process, from approval to payment and finally, to record keeping and filing
- Ensuring that the business complies with relevant local and IPF Digital accounting, reporting, tax and financial control requirements
- Support in the preparation of Company annual Accounts and Tax Returns for Australia
- Cost accounting, invoice handling and payment issuing
- Reconciliation of bank accounts and business systems
- Salary payments and salary tax calculations for all employees in Australia
- Preparation of Navision income statements and balance sheet on a monthly basis
- Take responsibility for the regular reporting of financial performance in accordance with accounting policies and timetables in an accurate and timely manner
- Responsible for local cash management for Australia and any related analysis, this could include ensuring that the Australian entity has sufficient cash for the business activities on a daily basis
- Work on specific financial projects as required and directed, providing business financial planning and analysis support
- Ensure that the monthly timetable of reporting deadlines to IPF Group Finance are met and managed in a proactive way
- Working under guidance from Group Chief Accountant and IPF Group tax team support when required in ensuring that the tax positions of the Australia business is managed effectively
- Take responsibility and ownership of APRA regulatory compliance and lodgement requirements
- Preparation of yearly local statutory financial statements
- Take responsibility and ownership for the yearly external accounting audit
- Take responsibility and ownership of cash reconciliation
Requirements
Here’s what experience we need from you:
- Educated to degree level – ideally Master’s degree in Finance or Accounting
- CPA qualified or working towards qualification
- Experience in a similar rol in Australia, 3-5 years
- Experience in the financial industry in Australia is highly regarded
- Experience with financial control, reporting and banking
- Advanced Excel skills
- Familiarity and confident with Audit processes
- Confident and effective communication skills and style
- Experience with Purchase Orders processes
- Working knowledge of Navision Dynamics and Fitekin
- Working knowledge of all financial and taxation requirements for financial services providers in Australia
- Working knowledge of Australia taxation requirements and GST rules for financial services providers
- Proactive working style
- Solid stakeholder management experience
- Excellent business communication skills in English
